John Alan Jones, a 58-year old senior Australian Naval officer, was found guilty and jailed to serve maximum of 18 months in jail and dismissed from Navy. He was found guilty of seven indecent acts, including four occasions of spanking a junior female soldier serving on the same ship.

The court martial also found him guilty of telling the sailor to take off her pants and then pulling down her underwear, making her lift up her top, and touching her bottom.

It cleared Jones of two other charges of indecent acts because of insufficient evidence.

The incidents happened in Jones' cabin on the ship and at a private residence in Western Australia.

Angela Lee Summerall, 26-year old pregnant mother of 3 from St. Petersburg (Florida), was arrested for smoking crack cocaine in the presence of her 4-year-old son. She was in a 1996 Chevrolet SUV with her 4-year-old son and a man who has a lengthy arrest record on drug-related charges. The other man was not arrested.

The man told officers Summerall approached him and asked about buying crack cocaine, police said. He said he doesn't know her beyond their interaction Wednesday, when he said he provided her an apparatus with which to smoke the drug.

As officers questioned Summerall, who also uses the alias Angela Kirchner, her husband, Robert, came to pick up the little boy. He told police he wasn't surprised she had been caught smoking crack — this wasn't the first time.

It was otherwise perfectly normal except for this one funny clip of the bride TEXTING just after her dad walked her down the isle! At one point, I noticed her doing it through my lens and I had to pull away form the camera to make certain I was seeing what I thought I was seeing. The minister was busy reading his opening comments and her back was to everyone in attendance. I was the only one to see her. Sushil Kumar, 26-year old poor government clerk from desolate region of eastern India, has become the first person to win 50 million rupee (around $1 million). He won the money on India's version of "Who wants to be a millionaire." The win seemed similar to the story in the Oscar-winning movie Slumdog Millionaire.

Kumar, the 26-year-old son of a farm labourer, earned around £75 a month, and told viewers his family was so poor they couldn't afford a television set.

He would watch the show at a neighbour's home, and when they realised he had a talent for general knowledge, they persuaded him to apply for the programme.

The trip to the Mumbai studio where the show is taped was his first ride in a plane and his first visit to a big city, he said.

Having reached the 13th question, he had considered walking away with the 10m rupees (£124,000) he had in hand, but decided to take advantage of the option to take a look at the final question.

"When I looked at the question, I didn't think I knew the answer, but I kept staring at it for a long time and suddenly I knew that two of the four options were definitely not correct," Kumar said.

And then all of a sudden, he was a real 'Slumdog Millionaire'.

Kumar and his wife of four months wept when Indian movie legend Amitabh Bachchan, the show's host, handed them a cheque for 50m rupees.

"You have created history. Your grit and determination has made you come so far in this show," Bachchan said.

"We're happy of course but mostly we're just really stunned," Kumar said.

The Timberwood Commons, an apartment complex in Lebanon (New Hampshire) was having problems with some residents who were not cleaning their dog's poops. So, Debbie Violette, the manager at the property, came with the idea to use  commercially available DNA sampling kits to check the DNA from the poop left behind by the dog.

"We've tried doing the warning letters. We've tried all sorts of things," she said Friday. "It's always a problem. It's just that the majority of people are responsible pet owners and there are a few who are not."

She said residents have been told they must submit samples from their dogs so DNA profiles can be put on file.

"I want people to know that we're serious about this," she said. More than 30 dogs call the 252-unit complex home.

Violette just received the kits from a Knoxville, Tenn., company called PooPrints, a subsidiary of BioPet Vet Lab. Jim Simpson, president of the lab, said about 20 properties in the country have been using the kits.

For testing samples, the company provides a feces collection kit. A small amount is put in a solution and mailed back to the lab. DNA is extracted from the feces. The lab then checks to see if it matches any of the profiles listed for the apartment complex.Source: www.google.com
